Frantz Ward Hosts Annual Labor & Employment Seminar
Frantz Ward hosted its annual Labor & Employment Seminar and networking reception on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Stillwater Place at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
The full-day seminar covered a range of labor and employment topics to help workplace professionals stay current on recent trends and developments in Ohio and at the federal level.
The seminar featured seven sessions:
- “Kickoff: 2026 Employment Law Updates and Agency Action” presented by Frantz Ward Partners Brian J. Kelly, Gregory M. Gleine, and Associate Ben F. Kerns
- “New Player on the Field: AI in the Workplace” presented by Frantz Ward Partners Megan E. Bennett, Joel R. Hlavaty, and Associate Katherine E. McLaughlin
- “Avoiding a Red Card: Winning Strategies for Litigation Holds and Document Retention” presented by Frantz Ward Partners Angela D. Lydon and Christopher C. Koehler
- “Managing the Transfer: Employee Benefits in Transition” presented by Frantz Ward Partner William A. Duncan and Associate Naomi G. Tellez
- “Making the Call: Best Practices for Effective Workplace Investigations” presented by Frantz Ward Partner Jennifer Fewell Phillips and Associates Josh A. Friedman and Stacey M. Sanderson
- “Defense Matters: Preventing Workplace Violence and Cybersecurity Issues” presented by Frantz Ward Partners Jonathan M. Scandling and Bradley D. Reed, and Frantz Ward alum Andrew Cleves
- “The Away Game: Navigating Remote Work Challenges” presented by Frantz Ward Partners Michael N. Chesney and Ryan T. Smith, and guest speaker Gina Tetorakis
All sessions were eligible for CLE credit or HR recertification credit through HRCI.
Guest speaker Jacob Duritsky also presented an overview of Team NEO and the Northeast Ohio economy.
