Overview
Josh defends and guides employers through all aspects of a workers’ compensation claim, from the claimant’s filing and inception, through all levels and locations of the Ohio Industrial Commission and litigation when necessary.
Josh brings experience aiding employers of all sizes, ranging from Fortune 500 self-insured companies, health care institutions, and manufacturers, to small mom-and-pop, state-funded businesses. From the start of a claim, Josh advises clients through the legal defense strategy, analyzing evidence and reports necessary for a successful claim. Josh handles court appeals, including answering complaints, drafting pleadings, managing discovery, handling depositions, negotiating settlements, and going to trial.

- Successfully defended Ohio employers in hundreds of workers’ compensation claims before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and in court.
- Represented public and private sector employers across industries including manufacturing, healthcare, construction, logistics, and retail.
- Managed claims from initial injury report through hearing, appeal, and settlement, minimizing exposure and ensuring compliance with Ohio BWC regulations
- Strategically challenged allowance of claims, additional conditions, and requests for ongoing benefits (such as wage loss).
- Negotiated favorable settlements with injured workers, their counsel, and the BWC to resolve high-exposure claims.
