Practice Areas

Katie provides legal counsel to management on a wide range of labor and employment law issues, and defends employers in both state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.

She provides day-to-day counseling to employers on human resources issues such as terminations and compliance with employment laws, and prepares personnel policies, employment agreements, and employee handbooks for companies across various industries. Katie defends employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and various other employment-related claims before judicial bodies and administrative agencies and has secured summary judgment rulings on behalf of clients. She has also obtained dismissal of numerous employment discrimination charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Additionally, Katie leads management training sessions on harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour issues.
