Jones will provide key insights on how to most effectively own and operate marijuana businesses in Ohio at an upcoming National Business Institute (NBI) CLE. The course, “Marijuana Business Operations in Ohio,” will take place online on Thursday, July 17, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET.

Keenan’s presentation, “Protecting Marijuana Trademarks and Reviewing Advertising and Marketing Considerations,” will be held from 1:00 – 1:45 PM. He will share:
- Differences when reviewing cannabis trademarks at the federal vs. state level
- Legal restrictions for marijuana labels
- Strategies for registering a federal MJ trademark with the US Patent & Trademark Office
- Legal requirements for marketing marijuana
- How to build product lines and offer variety
- Advertising restrictions
