Meghan C. Lewallen and Matthew J. Selby to Present at ALFA International 2025 Transportation Practice Group Seminar

Frantz Ward attorneys Meghan C. Lewallen and Matthew J. Selby will be moderating and speaking at ALFA International’s upcoming 2025 Transportation Practice Group Seminar. The seminar, held on April 30 – May 2 at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, California, will focus on the impact of industry collaboration to mitigate transportation risk, effectuate change, and establish best practices.

Meghan will moderate the panel titled “Power of Focus Groups” on Thursday, May 1. The session will provide proven methods for evaluating and strengthening accident cases through the utilization of focus groups which effectively test and refine case strategies.

On Friday, May 2, Matt will be joining a roundtable discussion titled “Priming the Plaintiff and Plaintiff’s Counsel.” This discussion will focus on dealing with difficult opposing counsel during depositions, negotiations, and pre-suit demands, as well as strategies to overcome adversity to achieve goals.

Meghan is a member of ALFAI’s Transportation and Future Leaders Practice Groups and focuses her practice on general business disputes, transportation law, real estate brokerage defense, and employment litigation. She represents companies nationwide defending against personal injury and catastrophic accident claims. Additionally, she helps individuals and entities of all sizes navigate disputes including misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of non-compete agreements, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

Matt concentrates his practice on transportation law, representing a variety of domestic and international transportation organizations including motor carriers, leasing companies, third-party logistics providers, regional and national shippers, and large private fleets. He has extensive experience in litigating transportation related disputes. In addition to his transportation experience, Matt has also been involved in all aspects of several acquisitions including legal and integration into core business as well as overseeing a Compliance and HR Department.
