James B. Niehaus and Angela D. Lydon Named Chair and Vice-Chair of Litigation Practice Group at Frantz Ward

Frantz Ward LLP is pleased to announce that partners James B. Niehaus and Angela D. Lydon have been named Chair and Vice-Chair of the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Together, they will continue to build the strong foundation of the Litigation Group through coaching, planning, economic oversight, positioning and recruitment. Jim was among the group of partners that started Frantz Ward 22 years ago and Angie began her law career at Frantz Ward 12 years ago as a Summer Associate.

Jim focuses his practice on competition law - resolving disputes between and managing the relationships among competitors and businesses at different levels of the distribution chain. This includes litigating and counseling clients with respect to distribution, antitrust, intellectual property, franchising and licensing matters, as well as disputes involving claims of unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of non-compete agreements, breach of franchise agreements and infringement of intellectual property rights. Jim is named to Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, and the Ohio Super Lawyers lists and is rated AV Preeminent, the highest peer-review, by Martindale-Hubbell. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School and his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Angie is an experienced litigator who represents businesses and individuals throughout the United States, with a focus on commercial disputes, transportation law, business torts, products liability, and insurance issues. She handles all stages of civil litigation, including navigating discovery, dispositive briefing, trial, and appeals. She has tried cases in both state and federal court. Angie is named to The Best Lawyers in America "Ones to Watch" and to the Ohio Super Lawyers "Rising Star" lists. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from Miami University.
