Frantz Ward Partner Colleen C. Murnane Named President of Lifebanc Board of Directors

Frantz Ward is proud to announce that partner, Colleen C. Murnane, has been elected President of the Board of Directors of Lifebanc. Colleen will serve a two-year term which began on January 1, 2018. She has been involved with Lifebanc since 2010 and has served in multiple roles including, Board Secretary; member of the Executive Committee; Chair of the Community Development and Outreach Committee; Chair of the Governance Committee; and Co-Chair of the Legacy of Life Gala Committee.
 
Lifebanc is a nonprofit organization that saves and heals lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation. It serves Ohio’s Northeast region. It is one of the seven original Organ Procurement Organizations (OPO) in the U.S., and serves nearly four million people and works with 80 hospitals in 20 counties. Along with facilitating the recovery of organs and tissues for transplant, the organization works to educate the public and health care professionals about the benefits of and necessity of registering as an organ, eye, and tissue donor. Lifebanc is pursuing a future when the decision to donate is an honor and everyone waiting receives a transplant. Lifebanc is a member of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), which is managed by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).
 
Colleen is an experienced litigator and trusted advisor to companies of all sizes, from closely held, family businesses to Fortune 500 companies. She counsels clients on anticipating and avoiding liabilities and managing their business risks in the areas of commercial contract, construction, product liability, business torts, class actions, and beer and alcohol regulations and operations. She has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting business contracts and non-competes, developing strategies to resolve disputes prior to litigation, and executing forward thinking strategies to prevail at trial and minimize losses.
 
Colleen devotes her time and talents both to her clients and the community. In addition to serving Lifebanc, Colleen currently serves as Chair of the ALFA International Product Liability and Complex Tort Section Webinar Programs, and is an allied member and legal advisor to the Ohio Craft Brewers Association. She is a Past President of Youth Challenge. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and has a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Boston College.
