Partner Jean E. Smith-Gonnell recently shared insights into the intersection of cannabis legislation and second amendment rights in her presentation, “Lawyers, Guns, and Money: Second Amendment Rights and Cannabis.” The presentation took place at Continuing Legal Education in Colorado’s (CBA-CLE) 10th Annual Cannabis Symposium.

The conference discussed key legal and regulatory developments in the industry, analyzed economic predictions for cannabis businesses in 2026, and highlighted trending focuses for state and federal enforcement. Additionally, state regulators and government officials provided direct updates on policy and regulation.
