Frantz Ward Welcomes Former NLRB Region 8 (Cleveland) Regional Attorney Gregory M. Gleine

Frantz Ward is pleased to announce Gregory M. Gleine has joined the firm as a Partner in its Labor & Employment Practice Group.

Greg brings more than 25 years of experience with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in Northern Ohio, serving as a Field Attorney, Supervisory Attorney, and most recently as the Regional Attorney with Region 8 of the NLRB in Cleveland. His experience provides employers with an inside understanding of how the Board approaches complex labor matters and supports compliance with the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).

Greg advises local and national employers on labor-management relations, unfair labor practice and workplace investigations, representation proceedings, and collective bargaining agreement negotiations and administration. He helps clients navigate bargaining obligations, union organizing activity, and administrative proceedings before the NLRB and federal courts, drawing from his understanding of agency processes and experience managing high-stakes labor disputes from investigation through litigation or settlement.

Before joining Frantz Ward, Greg practiced exclusively with the NLRB post-law school, where in his position as Regional Attorney, he was part of the management team responsible for all aspects of the agency’s unfair labor practice and representation case investigations, litigation, settlement, and enforcement efforts in Northern Ohio. He investigated, reviewed, and brought to final disposition more than 1,000 cases in his career and reviewed recommendations in more than 150 investigations during his last year with the agency. He also served as management’s representative in labor relations negotiations with a local union, including administration of a collective bargaining agreement.

“My entire career has been focused on the enforcement of the NLRA, and I am fully aware of the challenges employers face in navigating the Board’s processes,” said Greg. “Joining Frantz Ward feels like the natural next step in my career, as I know the firm has a deep commitment to helping clients proactively address labor issues. Greg earned his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University in 2000 after receiving his B.A. in Political Science from John Carroll University in 1996.
