Frantz Ward Strengthens Its Real Estate Professional Liability Practice in Columbus
Frantz Ward is proud to expand its real estate professional liability practice to its Columbus office, giving the firm a local presence to provide this niche service in central Ohio. The practice defends real estate brokers, salespersons, appraisers, and home inspectors against claims arising from their work, both in court and before regulators such as the Ohio Division of Real Estate.
Partners Cynthia A. Lammert, Mark L. Rodio, and Associate Kelly C. Bokoch are among the handful of Ohio attorneys leading this practice, with Kelly recently discussing Boyer v. Poorman, in which Ohio’s Fifth District Court of Appeals highlighted the significant effect of an “as is” clause and the doctrine of caveat emptor. In Columbus, the team will work alongside Partner Benjamin J. MacDowell to advise commercial real estate brokerage clients on commercial real estate transactions and franchise matters.
The firm has long served clients in central and southern Ohio, and its official Columbus launch this year strengthens its ability to provide a dedicated, consistent presence in the region with the flexibility to tackle issues as they arise.
