Overview
Jordan is a member of the firm’s Construction Practice Group and prepares cases for trial, drafts pleadings in litigation, and strategically reviews contracts. He is experienced in litigating construction matters from pleadings to settlements and has secured favorable rulings on summary judgment in several complex cases.
Outside of Frantz Ward, Jordan is a coach for Case Western Reserve University’s undergraduate mock trial program. As a coach, Jordan helps his students learn the rules of evidence, prepare arguments, and develop general trial advocacy skills.
Representative Experience
- Prepared briefing for summary judgment in a complex maritime action involving a multi-jurisdictional dispute with over half a dozen parties regarding the ownership of a vessel.
- Negotiated and settled a claim for property damage following a trucking accident where the owner demanded the full value of the vehicle; the owner settled for half the value, which the insurance company accepted.
- Prepared briefing on a motion to dismiss in a trucking accident case where liability was disputed.
- Conducted discovery and prepared depositions for witnesses in a consolidated matter involving over a dozen parties.
- Prepared briefing for summary judgment in a construction dispute over the execution of a contract and the performance of the parties.
- Prepared motions in limine, trial briefs, and other trial materials against a construction company in a lawsuit where the company performed deficient work on a parking lot.
