Angie represents businesses and individuals throughout the United States in business litigation matters involving unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of non-compete agreements/non-solicitation agreements, business torts, insurance issues, transportation law, personal injury, and product liability. An experienced litigator, she handles all stages of civil litigation in both state and federal court, including navigating discovery, dispositive briefing, trial, settlements, and appeals.
Angie’s favorite aspect of being an attorney is working closely with clients and colleagues to find creative solutions to complicated issues. Her experience litigating a wide variety of matters across a broad spectrum of industries gives her a unique perspective on business disputes and enables her to work closely with her clients to better anticipate, prevent, and prepare for future issues that may arise.
Representative Experience
- Obtained the dismissal of all claims against a national insurer through both cross-motions for summary judgment and appellate briefing in a multi-million-dollar insurance coverage dispute in the Southern District of Ohio.
- Secured a complete defense verdict in a personal injury dispute in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas; defended the decision in the Eighth District Court of Appeals.
- Represented defendant in an action alleging breach of non-compete agreement, theft of trade secrets, and interference with business relations; defended trial court’s favorable preliminary injunction ruling in the Eighth District Court of Appeals.
- Counsels major insurance carriers in coverage disputes, including in cases with bad faith allegations.
- Represented the plaintiff in a case alleging breach of a non-compete agreement and theft of trade secrets by a former employee; obtained a favorable preliminary injunction prohibiting the new employer from hiring the former employee.
- Obtained the dismissal of a declaratory judgment action seeking an interpretation of the Ohio Motor Vehicle Dealer Act and defended the decision in the Ninth District Court of Appeals.
- Part of a national trial counsel team handling a broad mix of litigation for America’s largest family-owned and operated food and hospitality provider with a fleet of over 1,300 semi-trucks and box trucks operating in 38 states.
- Assisted in obtaining a positive verdict for a winery in a case pursuant to the Ohio Alcoholic Beverages Franchise Act.
