Overview

Practice Areas

With more than 25 years of government service and experience in traditional labor law, Greg concentrates his practice with a keen eye on matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act. He advises local and national employers on labor-management relations, unfair labor practice and workplace investigations, representation proceedings, and collective bargaining agreement negotiations and administration.

Greg helps clients navigate bargaining obligations, union organizing activity, and administrative proceedings before the NLRB and federal courts. Clients value his practical approach, deep understanding of agency processes, and experience managing high-stakes labor disputes from investigation through litigation or settlement.

Greg is a frequent speaker on traditional labor relations developments and regularly presents to attorneys, human resources professionals, business leaders, and law students on emerging issues under the NLRA. His background in political science and government service also enables him to fully understand the unique legal, political, and community issues that impact clients as they seek to resolve their legal challenges.

Prior to joining Frantz Ward, Greg spent his entire post-law school career at the National Labor Relations Board serving as a Field Attorney, Supervisory Attorney, and most recently as the Regional Attorney with Region 8 of the NLRB in Cleveland. As the Regional Attorney for Region 8, he was part of the management team responsible for all aspects of the Region’s unfair labor practice and representation case investigations, litigation, settlement, and enforcement efforts. He directly supervised teams of attorneys and field examiners and annually reviewed the investigation and resolution of hundreds of unfair labor practice charges and representation cases, including investigations coordinated at the national level. He also collaborated with other state and federal agencies where appropriate.

Outside of his practice, Greg enjoys spending time with his family and staying involved in his community through volunteer service and youth sports coaching.  He is an avid and unapologetic Cleveland sports fan who hopes against hope that he will one day witness his beloved Cleveland Guardians and Cleveland Browns hoist the Commissioner’s Trophy and Vince Lombardi Trophy, respectively.
