Gina M. Ciani

Gina guides clients through all areas of estate and gift tax planning, avoidance and minimization of probate, as well as succession planning for business owners. Bringing more than 20 years of experience, Gina assists in implementing a wide range of techniques from simple wills and trusts to sophisticated estate plans. She has extensive experience preparing plans that include spousal lifetime access trusts, qualified residence trusts, and grantor retained annuity trusts, in addition to plans for special needs beneficiaries, non-citizen spouses, and other unique planning scenarios. For high-net-worth clients, she handles the administration of foreign assets, estate tax audits, and optimizing plans to minimize tax liabilities. She also works closely with clients’ corporate counsel to ensure that estate and business succession plans are aligned for a seamless transition.

Clients rely on Gina to lead them through probate and trust administration as both counsel and fiduciary. She knows the care and compassion needed to assist families through the probate process and understands the complexity that trustees face performing their duties. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege to work with families through generations and is their trusted advisor through all estate planning and administration matters.

In estate and guardianship cases, Gina serves as a court-appointed fiduciary in several Ohio counties and represents legal guardians, counseling them through their duties and obligations in their capacity as fiduciaries.

Gina enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters, as well as golfing, fitness, and actively participating in her children’s school and athletic activities.
