We assist practices in the process of admitting new members, as well as the process for the orderly departure of those leaving a practice. We also assist in the development and adoption of corporate compliance programs and in ensuring compliance with the Stark Law, which places material restrictions on how physician compensation can be distributed. We also routinely advise physicians on relationships with medical drug and device manufacturers, and applicable reporting requirements under the Physician Payments Sunshine Act.
We represent practices entering into mergers, acquisitions and affiliations with other groups and health systems, and in the development of joint venture arrangements with hospitals and other medical providers.
We counsel individual practitioners in the review and negotiation of employment and independent contractor agreements with hospitals, medical practices, and other provider organizations.
