Frantz Ward assists hospitals and health systems to navigate complex legal issues. We serve as outside general counsel to health systems, advising our clients on the latest regulatory trends and requirements that govern the industry in health care, labor and employment, antitrust, intellectual property and litigation matters. We provide counsel to hospital leadership on corporate and governing board matters, medical staff issues, and tax exemption matters.
In addition, we routinely advise hospitals with respect to operational matters, including certification and accreditation matters, corporate compliance, provider credentialing, medical staff corrective action investigations and hearings, reimbursement matters, managed care contracting, health care information privacy and security, and risk management issues.
We also assist health systems in executing growth and sustainability strategies through acquisitions, mergers and affiliations, tax exempt and government insured financing, and joint venture arrangements.
We also assist in developing strategies for alignment with physicians and physician organizations, including through the development of joint ventures such as ambulatory surgery centers and imaging centers, and in the development of accountable care organizations and performance based reimbursement models with physician collaborators.
