Training & Development

Frantz Ward is dedicated to ongoing training and development and believes it is essential to both individual and firm success.

All employees participate in a comprehensive orientation over the course of several days at the beginning of their employment; however, the training does not stop there. Ongoing technology training, applicable technical skills training and various guest speaker opportunities contribute to the overall professional development of attorneys and staff.

The firm is committed to business development and cross-discipline marketing and regularly provides training for practice and professional development. We recognize the importance of staying current with the legal profession; therefore, support maintaining the standards set by the Commission on Continuing Legal Education and access and compensation for attorneys to attend CLE classes.

Associates are given the opportunity to be on a partnership track and each is assigned a mentor partner who assumes responsibility for monitoring the associate’s activities, including integrating them into the internal culture of the firm and also helping them develop meaningful relationships in the community.

The firm also regularly hosts a Summer Associate Program to provide a multi-tiered experience for law clerks. In addition to traditional assignments such as performing legal research, drafting memoranda, and preparing briefs and motions, summer law clerks are also given the opportunity to attend, observe, and participate in various activities outside of the office. Frantz Ward attorneys make every effort to see that summer law clerks attend client meetings, depositions, arbitrations, trials, and other similar activities.
