Frantz Ward Attorney Christina Niro Is OSHA Certified

Frantz Ward attorney, Christina E. Niro, a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice, has earned certification in the OSHA 30 Outreach Training Program. Christina and several other Frantz Ward attorneys represent and advise employers in all phases of compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Mine Safety and Health Act, state administrative safety regulations, and related workplace safety issues.
 
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.
 
Christina advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters, from discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, to cases involving contract disputes, restrictive covenants, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition. She has litigated and tried cases in state and federal courts and various administrative agencies. Christina also provides employers of all sizes with day-to-day preventive counseling on wage and hour issues, employee discipline, litigation prevention strategies, employee handbook and policy development, and adherence to federal and state family and medical leave laws. Christina also conducts EEO training to help employers understand, prevent and correct discrimination in the workplace. She is a frequent author of the firm’s labor and employment blog and speaker on a variety of labor and employment topics. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and has a B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Denison University.
