John provides clients with counsel on real estate tax law and the preparation of advisory memoranda. 

John has extensive experience assisting various property owners and boards of education in cases challenging or defending county auditor’s valuations of commercial, industrial, and residential real property for ad valorem taxation purposes.

He practices before various county boards of revision, common pleas courts, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, the District Courts of Appeals, the Ohio Supreme Court, and the Ohio Tax Commissioner.


    • Represents boards of education in local municipalities in cases which challenge the auditor’s valuation of real property for ad valorem taxation purposes.
