Frantz Ward Adds Matthew J. Selby to Partnership

Frantz Ward is pleased to announce Matthew J. Selby joins the firm as Partner. Matt will lead the firm’s
Transportation & Logistics Law practice.  
 
“Matt brings years of experience and a diverse background in transportation law to Frantz Ward,” said Christopher G. Keim, Managing Partner at Frantz Ward. “He is a great addition to our firm and will lead our growing transportation and logistics practice.”  
 
Matt focuses his practice on transportation law. He represents a variety of domestic and international transportation organizations including motor carriers, leasing companies, third-party logistics providers, regional and national shippers and large private fleets. Matt has served as General Counsel for a transportation company where he regularly dealt with legal, safety, compliance and risk matters. He has extensive experience in litigating transportation related disputes. In addition to his transportation experience, Matt has also been involved in all aspects of several acquisitions including legal and integration into core business as well as overseeing a Compliance and HR Department. Matt is actively involved with several transportation industry associations such as the American Trucking Associations, Truckload Carriers Association, the Ohio Trucking Association, Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association and the National Tank Truck Carriers Association, among others. He earned his J.D. from Cleveland Marshall College of Law and his B.A. from John Carroll University.

Frantz Ward represents numerous private and public companies involved in the transportation and logistics industry throughout the United States and Canada. The firm regularly advises motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, intermodal equipment providers and shippers on a variety of transportation specific issues within the supply chain including: compliance and licensing, cargo claims, risk management, independent contractor issues, contract review and drafting, and mergers/acquisitions.

The firm also has vast experience in representing clients in catastrophic litigation throughout the U.S. and routinely assist clients with 24/7 emergency management response protocols for catastrophic accidents. Frantz Ward recognizes the importance of involvement within the transportation industry as its attorneys are actively involved in committees and boards within numerous trade associations around the country.
