It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our longtime colleague, retired partner and friend, Jeffrey Perlmuter. Jeff, 72, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021.
A retired partner in our Business Law Group, Jeff joined Frantz Ward in 2006. He was particularly experienced in the design, implementation, administration and termination of the full spectrum of employee benefit plans and compensation arrangements. He was also well known for his skills as an estate planner for individuals and business owners, assisting them through the complex process of estate and gift taxes.
Jeff received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, his LL.M. from Georgetown University and his bachelor’s from Tulane University. Jeff was regularly recognized on The Best Lawyers in America list in the area of Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law. He was also a frequent writer interpreting federal agency regulations in administrative matters to his grateful clients.
Jeff was not only an amazing lawyer, he was a great friend and partner. He loved Cleveland sports, music and golf and was never without an open door or smile on his face.
Jeff leaves behind his wife, four children, 11 grandchildren, and his Frantz Ward family, all of whom will miss him deeply.
