Frantz Ward LLP, a full-service law firm celebrating its 20
th Anniversary this year, announced that local nonprofit
Ashlie’s Embrace is the winner of the 20 For 20 Program (#20For20). Ashlie’s Embrace, which received nearly 2,500 of the contest’s 10,000 votes, will be awarded the top prize of $20,000 in cash provided by Frantz Ward.
“We are thrilled to announce that Ashlie’s Embrace is the grand prize recipient of our 20 For 20 Program,” said Christopher G. Keim, Managing Partner of Frantz Ward. “It is clear from the online reactions alone that Ashlie’s Embrace has made an incredibly profound impact on all of the families they have worked with in Northeast Ohio and beyond. We are honored to work with them today, and in the future, to help them achieve their long-term goals.”
Based here in Northeast Ohio, Ashlie’s Embrace arranges the delivery of CuddleCots to hospitals throughout the United States. CuddleCots are unique devices designed to provide comfort to parents after experiencing a stillbirth or early infant loss.
"With the help of Frantz Ward, Ashlie's Embrace looks to expand its reach and move closer to our vision of a CuddleCot in every U.S. hospital," said Ashlie's Embrace Founder, Erin Maroon. "We are so grateful for this opportunity to provide more grieving parents the gift of time. The hour we spent with our daughter Ashlie after she passed in 2015 was not nearly enough."
In addition to the top prize, all
20 finalist organizations receive $1,000 in cash or pro bono service support for being part of the 20 For 20 Program. Organizations that applied but were not selected as finalists received additional support from Frantz Ward to engage with Business Volunteers Unlimited, a local organization committed to engaging the business and nonprofit communities to strengthen the Northeast Ohio region.
Frantz Ward will conduct a virtual award presentation with Ashlie’s Embrace on Wednesday, August 26 at 1pm, which will be broadcast on the Frantz Ward Facebook page.
