Partner Keith Ashmus Honored With Prestigious Award From The Salvation Army

Frantz Ward LLP is proud to share that partner Keith A. Ashmus is the recipient of the prestigious William Booth Award from The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland. The Salvation Army will present this award to Keith at its 2016 Annual Civic Luncheon on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center.

The William Booth Award is one of the highest awards to an individual from The Salvation Army. Keith has been involved with The Salvation Army for over twenty years and has served in a broad range of leadership roles, including Chair of the Advisory Board and Chair of various committees, such as Development, Finance, and Personnel. He currently serves on the Advisory Board and has a leadership role in The Strength for Today, Bright Hope for Tomorrow Capital Campaign, one of the largest and most significant undertakings in organization's 143-year history in Cleveland. This award is a result of Keith's dedication to service, humanitarian effort within the community, and substantial contributions of time, talent and financial resources to the organization.

The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland works every day to elevate men, women and children up from despair and provide hope and assistance through targeted programs. Funds support programming such as: shelters throughout Cleveland serving women, children and the homeless; food pantries and soup kitchens; senior citizen programs; after school programs for inner-city youth; and emergency social service assistance.

Keith is nationally recognized as a respected advocate and a trustworthy neutral. His practice focuses on employment law and business law, as well as mediation and arbitration cases around the nation. He is a Past President of the Ohio State Bar Association and a Past Chairman of both the Labor Law Section and the ADR Committee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Keith is a recognized advocate for small business, having served as Chair of both the Council of Smaller Enterprises and the National Small Business Association. He has testified before the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives Committees, as well as the Ohio General Assembly, in support of small business positions. Keith was named Best Lawyers' 2016 "Lawyer of the Year" in Labor Law-Management in Cleveland and has been named to the Top 100 Ohio Super Lawyers list. He has a B.A., with High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from Michigan State University, an M.A. from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, and his J.D. from Yale Law School.
