Frantz Ward Partner Kaitlyn D. Arthurs Receives OSBA Family Law Specialist Certification

Frantz Ward is proud to announce that Partner Kaitlyn D. Arthurs has received the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) Family Relations Law Certification. Katie’s practice is devoted exclusively to family law within the firm’s robust Business Law practice. She is among nine attorneys to receive this certification in January 2020.

Attorneys seeking certification must satisfy several criteria: demonstrate substantial and continuing involvement in a particular field of law; submit five professional references attesting to their competency in the specialty area; have earned a minimum of 36 hours of intermediate or advanced continuing legal education (CLE) credits in the specialty area during the past three years as part of the CLE hours required of all attorneys; pass a written examination; prove financial responsibility by maintaining minimum professional liability insurance coverage and remain in good standing with the Supreme Court of Ohio.
Katie is a family law partner who counsels clients through difficult matters. Her practice is concentrated in several areas including divorce, dissolution of marriage, child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, and mediation. Katie represents both men and women and takes a "big picture" approach when managing a variety of complex cases. She is proficient in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She negotiates mutually agreeable settlements and, if necessary, litigates cases through the court. Katie works efficiently with clients to find creative solutions to all family law matters, while also advocating for successful results. Katie is the President of the Center for Principled Family Advocacy, an organization that promotes alternatives to litigation in resolving marriage and parenting issues in Ohio. Katie is a recipient of the Avvo Client’s Choice Award. She is named to the Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, and to The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Family Law. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from John Carroll University.
