Frantz Ward Attorney Andrew Cleves Elected Vice Chair of the Bridge Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland

Frantz Ward is proud to announce that labor and employment attorney, Andrew J. Cleves, has been elected Vice Chair of the Bridge Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland. Andrew has been involved with the organization since 2016, most recently serving as Fundraising Co-Chair. The Bridge Board is a group of young professionals committed to supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland and helping Cleveland’s youth become productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
 
Founded in 1954, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland serves more than 7,000 youth each year at 15 sites in Cleveland and Cleveland Heights. The Clubs provide a safe place for children to learn and grow, to develop ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, to engage in life-enhancing programs, and to create a culture of hope and opportunity. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland’s mission is to inspire and enable young people, especially those who need the Clubs most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
 
Andrew's practice focuses on employment law and labor relations. He advises and represents employers in a broad range of matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breaches of non-competition and other types of employment agreements. Andrew has appeared on behalf of management in state and federal courts and before arbitrators and various administrative agencies. Andrew also has represented employers in traditional labor matters, including at arbitrations and before the National Labor Relations Board and State Employment Relations Board. When not involved in active litigation, Andrew counsels employers of all sizes on key issues, such as employee discipline, employee handbook and policy development, leave administration, wage and hour compliance, union organizing efforts, and various aspects of the collective bargaining process. Andrew received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law and his Honors B.A. from Xavier University.
