Partner Keith Ashmus Honored at Inaugural Crain’s Cleveland Business C-Suite Gala

Frantz Ward LLP is proud to share that partner Keith A. Ashmus is among the 2017 C-Suite Honorees for his work as Board Counsel for Vocational Guidance Services. Keith is a recipient of the 2017 C-Suite Award in the category of General Counsel and will be recognized at the Crain’s C-Suite Gala on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at The 925 Building (Union Trust Building) in Cleveland.

Keith has been serving Vocational Guidance Services (VGS) for 40 years. The mission of VGS is to prepare individuals with barriers to employment for a brighter future. The organization is one of Cleveland’s oldest nonprofits and has the longest history of continued certification by Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in the nation.

Keith is nationally recognized as a respected advocate and a trustworthy neutral. His practice focuses on employment law and business law, as well as mediation and arbitration cases around the nation. He is a Past President of the Ohio State Bar Association and a Past Chairman of both the Labor Law Section and the ADR Committee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Keith is a recognized advocate for small business, having served as Chair of both the Council of Smaller Enterprises and the National Small Business Association. He has testified before the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives Committees, as well as the Ohio General Assembly, in support of small business positions. Keith was named Best Lawyers’ 2016 “Lawyer of the Year” in Labor Law-Management in Cleveland and has been named to the Top 100 Ohio Super Lawyers list. He has a B.A., with High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from Michigan State University, an M.A. from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, and his J.D. from Yale Law School.
