Frantz Ward LLP, a full-service law firm celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, today unveiled the 20 For 20 Program (#FW20For20) to provide support for local startup nonprofits. The 20 For 20 Program will donate $40,000 in cash or services to emerging organizations in Northeast Ohio to assist these entrepreneurial change makers in achieving their goals.
“The 20 For 20 Program demonstrates what Frantz Ward has been about since its founding 20 years ago,” said Christopher G. Keim, Managing Partner of Frantz Ward. “An entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to serve the community, and above all, the commitment to treat people the right way.”
Nonprofits interested in applying for the 20 For 20 Program must meet the following guidelines:
- Established in the last five years (after January 2015)
- Achieved 501(c)3 status
- Have an active board of directors
- Based in Northeast Ohio
The Frantz Ward 20 For 20 Program continues the firm’s ongoing commitment to the communities in which its attorneys and staff live and work. The program name represents the firm’s 20 year anniversary paired with twenty recipient organizations and a $20,000 top honor.
The 20 For 20 Program will accept applications until
April 13 (
deadline extended to June 15). A social media campaign will then be launched to determine which organization receives the top honor. All 20 finalist organizations will receive $1,000 in cash or pro bono services and one will be selected to receive an additional $20,000. The winner is expected to be announced in June.
Giving back is part of the culture of the firm. Frantz Ward attorneys and professional staff give of their time and resources through pro bono work, serving on boards, making charitable contributions, attending and sponsoring charity events, and volunteering to help those in need. The firm has had an impact on approximately 200 nonprofit organizations within the past twelve months, and are proud past recipients of the Medical Mutual Pillar Award, Volunteer Lawyers Program Recognition Award and others.
