Collective Bargaining
Frantz Ward’s Labor and Employment Practice Group has extensive experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements with all the major labor unions. The Group’s collective bargaining experience includes all sectors of employment, such as manufacturing, hospitals, nursing homes, non-profits, entertainment, and educational institutions. Throughout the bargaining process, Frantz Ward lawyers routinely act as the employer’s chief spokesperson – assisting the client in negotiating contractual provisions to strengthen the employer’s management rights and flexibility. In today’s economic climate, the Group also brings to the table extensive experience in negotiating concessionary contracts, particularly in regard to wages and health care benefits. In addition, the Group assists employers in defending unfair labor practices, strike planning and other related issues that may arise during the collective bargaining process.
