In January 2000, thirteen partners from Ohio's largest law firm set out to establish their own firm.

Their goal was to continue to provide a full range of first-rate legal services to their clients, but in a setting that permitted them to more effectively control costs and to improve the quality and responsiveness of these services.

On the strength of relationships with long-standing clients and those with new clients who were attracted by Frantz Ward attorneys and the principles of the firm, Frantz Ward has quickly grown to become one of the premiere firms in Ohio. Frantz Ward continues to add attorneys from Ohio's top firms and the country's top law schools. By 2008, Frantz Ward had over sixty attorneys, and was among the 20 largest firms in Northeast Ohio and the 30 largest in Ohio.

While growth is not the only indicator of success, we believe our growth is a reflection of our clients' approval of our founding principles – to provide innovative, practical, cost-effective and responsive legal counsel to our clients.
